Nage Pokhari, Ajirkot, Gorkha is one of the most amazing Tourism and attraction sites of Nepal. Nage Pokhari is located at an altitude of 3260m from sea level.
The place is located in the Ajirkot Rural Municipality-1, Ghyachchok of Gorkha District. It has its religious importance. A big Pokhari is located here which is very unique as well as the main attraction of this place.
How to reach to NagePokhari?

If you are planning to travel to Nagepokhari then take a bus from Kathmandu to Bhachchek, Gorkha from the Naya Buspark directly. Else if you are planning to ride on your own then head towards the Gorkha. After reaching Abukhaireni head towards Gorkha stop on the 12-kilo Bajar and head toward the Left which is the way to Barpak as well as the Bhachchek, Ajirkot.
You can also ask locals about the way to Bhachchek. The road is fully black pitched from 12-Kilo too. So it won’t be any difficult for you to reach Bhachchek Bajar, Ajirkot Rural Municipality-3. Once you have reached Bhachchek Bajar, make sure to buy some snacks or necessary items as every item is available in Bhachchek Bajar. After the Bhachchek Bajar, you won’t find any items on the way as the path is fully walkthrough.
The road access is up to Sirandanda and after that, you have to start your hiking. It will take around 5-6 hrs for those who don’t have the habit of walking in the hilly area. If you have the habit of walking then you can reach it within 3-4 hrs. The temperature is a bit cold in Nagepokhari so make sure you don’t have altitude sickness and wear warm clothes.

If you are planning to stay in Nage Pokhari, there are many Staying places of Villagers house (गाेठ) available there. Also, the Ajirkot Rural Municipality has built a residing place or house there in Nagepokhari. But make sure you have carried the Sleeping Bag or necessities items as you won’t find any sleeping materials there unless you ask for the Gothalos and there are sufficient ones there.

On the occasion of Nage Panchami which falls on Baishak or Jestha, a huge Mela called Nage Mela happens every year. People from many places like Gorkha, Barpak, Lamjung, Tanahun, Chitwan, Kathmandu, etc. arrive at this time. So it is the right time to visit Nage Pokhari and see the festival too.
You are likely to find many leeches on the way so get some sanitizer or salt which are immediately effective on leeches.
You can also visit Nage Pokhari during the winter season to enjoy the snow too. But the best season to visit Nage Pokhari is on Ashoj and Kartik. It is the time the view is very clear and it is not too cold.
